Climate friendly garden

  • A wine cellar was previously planned for the garden of the guesthouse, but this was abandoned, so instead we created a climate-friendly garden with edge-tolerant species.

  • What is a climate-friendly garden all about? We have mainly planted perennials, trees and shrubs that can cope well with both heat and wet weather. They are thoroughly mulched with local tree fertiliser so that the soil retains water better. The taller ornamental grasses and shrubs provide an ideal habitat for ornamental birds.
  • If you wish to feed birds you can buy packets at reception and place them in the feeders in the garden during the winter months. How to feed your birds, read the advice of the Hungarian Ornithological Society!
