Sauna rules of use
Be prepared to use our boarding house sauna before you arrive! The following instructions will help you to maintain the hygiene of the sauna, which will contribute to your own health and the health of others.
Showering before using the sauna
Take a shower before every entry. Before entering the sauna, you can safely use a shower gel or soap. After the sauna, shower only with plain water to avoid damaging the pores with chemicals. Showers are available in the outdoor shower room next to the sauna, except during the winter months, otherwise please shower in your room.
Dresscode
Please use our saunas in your swimsuit. There is a changing room next to the panoramic sauna if you wish to change here.
Hygiene
Take care never to sit or lie naked on the wooden bench or floor. It is not appropriate and not recommended from a health point of view. Spread the bath towel on the tree so that your whole body fits over it, thus preventing your body from coming into direct contact with the tree.
Slippers and Shoes
Please leave your shoes outside the sauna house! Slippers should either be left outside the sauna, near the door. Never sit on the benches in slippers.
The Law of Tranquillity in the Sauna
The sauna is a meditative and relaxing experience. It is not appropriate to disturb the tranquillity of those enjoying a sauna with loud, meaningless and uninterrupted speech. This also applies to the time spent in the sauna and to the indoor and outdoor relaxation areas of the sauna.
Using an Hourglass
The maximum stay is 15 minutes.
Enemas and sauna oils
Never drop sauna oils on the sauna stones, but in the sauna bucket placed in front of the sauna. Before sauna oil is used, ask other people present if they approve of pouring the specific oil. Do not use too much of the oil (maximum 5 drops) even if the common sauna users agree to use the oil. Never pour water from a bucket onto the sauna stones. Damage caused by improper use is the responsibility of the guest. Please note that when the water is poured, it immediately turns into hot steam.
